Your spending habits belong to you. WatchYourMoney works offline and does not connect to your bank or import transactions.
On your device
The app keeps your rules, Plan, off-plan entries, reviewed days and preferences locally. Entries include the amount, currency, category and reason you choose. Your device can keep working in airplane mode.
When you sign in and sync
We use your email to send sign-in codes and connect your account. Premium sync sends supported rules, off-plan entries, reviewed days and settings to our servers so they can be restored across devices. Account and device identifiers, purchase entitlements and notification tokens support sign-in, access and reminders. Sync runs opportunistically when you are online.
Social features share only the information described when you choose to use them. Payment providers process purchases; WatchYourMoney does not collect card details in the app or on this website.
Cookies and analytics
Essential session cookies keep you signed in and protect account actions. They are not advertising cookies. Product analytics use event names and limited properties without analytics cookies. App events may include off-plan amounts in minor units, currency, built-in category identifiers and the reason you selected, alongside app and coach settings. Analytics exclude custom category names, rule text, notes and other free text. Events are stored locally before upload.
Retention and deletion
Local data stays on your device until you erase it. Synced account data remains while your account is active. A deletion request immediately disables account access and removes sign-in and notification credentials. Synced data is scheduled for permanent deletion after a seven-day grace period. Purchase providers may retain their own records under their policies and legal obligations.
Deleting the server account does not erase offline copies on your devices. Use the app’s local data deletion controls too. Deleting your account does not cancel a store or Polar subscription.
Synthetic voices
Coach voices are synthetic AI voices, not recordings or imitations of real people. The app also discloses this in Settings.
